Sergio is a member of Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities Human Capital Management and became a managing director in 2000. He joined the firm in 1985 and became a Vice President within the Fixed Income Currency and Commodities Division in 1988. Sergio managed the NY International Sales Group from 1993 to 1995. In 1999, he became the Head of the Office of Career Development within FICC, with global responsibilities, reporting to the Division Heads. In mid 2002, Sergio’s role in the Office of Career Development expanded to include responsibilities for Equities, reporting to the Division Heads in this capacity as well. Previously, Sergio worked for Citibank as a Vice President within the Interest Rate Swaps Group.

Currently, Sergio serves as President and member of the Board of Directors for the Association of Black Princeton Alumni. He is also a member of the Board of First Choice, an inner city self-help group. In addition, he serves on the Board of Advisors for the Urban Financial Services Coalition, the Black Ivy League, Planned Parenthood of New Jersey, the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone, and is a member of the Executive Leadership Council.

Born in Cuba, Sergio received his B.A. from Princeton University in 1977 and his M.B.A. from Adelphi University in 1984. He and his wife, Donna, have two children and reside in New Jersey.
