History in the Making
The Black Ivy Alumni League 2012 National Conference

Scholarship, Politics, Entrepreneurship and Leadership:
A 21st Century Re-Education

There are more than 30,000 Black alumni of the eight Ivy League institutions.

However, as a group we have never congregated, met to share our stories, addressed the challenges, or leveraged the opportunities of Black alumni and the diaspora as a collective brain trust.

In September 2012 that will change.

This gathering will serve as the major Black academic and professional event of the year.

Maisha Walker (Princeton '94)
National President
The Black Ivy Alumni League

Taking place from September 27th-30th, 2012, the conference will include:

  • A 2-day career and graduate school fair where schools and companies from around the world will have a chance to recruit from within the ranks of Black Ivy Alumni League and students.

  • A 2-day business expo where businesses owned by Black Ivy Alumni League and non-alumni will have the opportunity to gain new customers, increase exposure and expand their sphere of influence within the Black Ivy League community.

  • Numerous workshops, panels and amazing keynote speakers with leading academics, corporate all-stars, knowledge experts and opinion-makers all sharing history, hard data, training, experience and productive dialog on how each of us can redefine what it means to be a Black professional in the 21st Century.

  • A black tie awards gala for an opportunity to recognize individuals who have achieved important milestones while fulfilling the mission of our organization.

  • School luncheons to hear what your alma mater has planned for Black alumni and students for the coming year and beyond.

  • An incredible network building opportunity all in one place and in a single weekend to meet the Black leaders of today and tomorrow in every industry.

  • Beautiful Miami city and the Fontainbleau as a setting need no introduction with amazing beaches, venue and nightlife, including the world's hottest most successful night club, Liv, right inside our hotel.
