The League Mission Statement

The Black Ivy Alumni League is a premier advocacy organization representing alumni of the eight Ivy League institutions: Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, and Yale. We are committed to cultivating the community of over 50,000 alumni of African descent connected through our Ivy League experiences in the following ways:

  • To serve as a professional and personal development resource;
  • To impact our institutions by addressing recruitment and retention of students and faculty of African descent;
  • To promote civic engagement within our membership and the greater community.
