Yes, Heather is the person who organizes those Los Angeles mixers and makes all of those Black Ivy postings!
Heather is a member of the California, Washington, D.C. and Minnesota Bars, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the federal district courts in California; she will be admitted to U.S. Supreme Court in November 2005.
Heather, an only child, was born in Los Angeles and raised in Cerritos, California. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a Member-at-Large of Black Women Lawyers of Los Angeles, Inc. (2005-2006) and a former editorial board member of the Los Angeles Lawyer magazine. One of Heather's passions is the education of today's youth and she is proud to be a charter board member of The Los Angeles Leadership Academy, a charter school.
Heather was previously a litigation associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson in Los Angeles; she has practiced at the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office since February 2003 where she handles a variety of complex litigation matters.
Heather's hobbies include attending the theater, traveling, watching movies and baking. She asserts to make a "mean" cheesecake.
Her dream is to one day start a non-profit that will provide elementary, high school and college scholarships for youth.
