Description:		We live in a highly turbulent, competitive, fast-paced, complex and yet interconnected global environment, which places demands on leaders that we may be ill-prepared to address with old methods. We know that we cannot solve these problems with the same old way of thinking, and that leading in this increasingly interconnected environment requires new ways of seeing, being, acting, listening, speaking, thinking, and feeling. Mindfulness practices are part of that new environment. Mindfulness supports the intra-personal developmental skills required for today’s global environment. Recently, a Harvard Business Review article pointed to the extraordinary challenges facing people of color and especially women in internalizing leadership identity, developing the internal fortitude to manage discomfort while stretching outside one’s comfort zone to take new actions and act in alignment with one’s deepest values. You will leave the workshop with new mindfulness skills to develop greater happiness, calm and focus, supporting leadership development, and understand the link between mindfulness and powerful, effective leadership.
