Description:		We're pleased to announce the launch of Rising Ivy - The Black Ivy Alumni League's Breakfast Network. Rising Ivy is a platform geared to strengthening our professional and entrepreneurial connections within our community. Networking is not about chatting with the person next to you at the cheese plate. It is about building a solid group of trusted contacts who provide resources and connections, advocating for you to be the recipient of opportunities and where you do the same. This is the start of a simple but powerful format to enable our community while building a productive network. Registration for this event is $15 and will be limited to 20 attendees. Everyone will get 15-30 seconds to introduce yourself, describe what you do, and provide our signature "offer and ask" what you can offer the group (usually something for free i.e. a job, an introduction, free professional advice) and what you are asking for (advice for a start-up, contacts for a real estate venture, a specific kind of client, help finding a new hire or a job). Behind the scenes, we will curate attendance for every event ensuring we have a group of diverse industries, backgrounds, and schools, along with a mix of new vs. repeat attendees, helping you meet the ideal business contact you indicate below. Our hosts will help kick off introductions -- as should you! This event is intended for savvy networkers and we encourage each attendee to initiate introductions both during and beyond the event. Each month a Black Ivy Alumni League corporate sponsor will host the event and help facilitate introductions. This month's event is being sponsored and hosted by Clifton Charles.
