Description:  The Black Ivy Alumni League and the Ogilvy & Mather Black Diaspora Professional Network bring together a panel of experts to provide compelling insight into strategies to drive business value through digital media and marketing channels.

Moderator:

Nelly Yuspova, Founder, Digitalwoman.com and CTO Webgrrls, International
DigitalWoman, Nelly Yusupova, is a web technology specialist, consultant and strategist, and motivating and inspiring speaker. She is the CTO of Webgrrls International and has been at the forefront of the women's movement online since 1999. She is responsible for building and maintaining the technical infrastructure of the organization that support the 100 chapters across the country and around the world. She develops Internet strategies for companies (large and small) including website development, SEO and social media and shows and encourages them to leverage technology and the tools to help them achieve their online goals. Nelly has been a featured tech expert in Inc. Magazine and has appeared as a guest expert on the NBC Today Show. Nelly has also been featured in Fast Company Magazine, NewsDay.com, O'Reilly, SmartMoney SmallBiz and has been a featured guest on TechRepublic, Women’s Radio and BlogWorld Radio. Nelly has been featured as a woman on the IT fast track by the Wall Street Journal.

John Gelberg, Chief Content Officer, Blue Fountain Media
As Blue Fountain Media's Chief Content Officer, Jon Gelberg works closely with all departments, helping to hone much of the written and verbal communications produced by the company. He also serves as the company's primary press liaison. Gelberg is a regular contributor to the Yahoo! Advertising blog and is a guest columnist for YoungEntrepreneur.com. He honed his communications skills as a journalist, winning more than 20 national, state and regional journalism awards. He has been honored by the Associated Press Sports Editors, the Professional Football Writers of America, The Society of Professional Journalists and many other organizations.

Maisha Walker, President, Message Medium; President, The Black Ivy Alumni League; Contributing Editor, Inc. Magazine
As founder and president of Web site design and Internet strategy firm Message Medium, Maisha has been building web sites and online communities for more than 14 years. Maisha is a featured online columnist with Inc. Magazine and the blog she created "The Internet Strategist" is now Inc.'s most popular online column. In 2008 Maisha received the sole nomination from the New York City Small Business Commissioner for a Small Business Award, winning a finalist spot for innovation and excellence in Sales and Marketing. She has been featured on NBC news television, Entrepreneur magazine, Black Enterprise magazine, BNet and many other publications, and her compelling content has been promoted by Guy Kawasaki, Rieva Lesonsky at MSNBC, the American Marketing Association and even Perez Hilton. Maisha has personally conducted more than 400 classes and workshops on Internet Marketing and Web site design. She is passionate about showing small business owners how to harness the power of the Internet to create dynamic and profitable brands online.

Jason Madhosingh, Director, Mobile & Online, American Express
Jason Madhosingh has overall responsibility for establishing Serve, American Express’ new payment platform, as a leading player in the online and mobile payments space. Together with the newly established enterprise growth group, Jason is tasked with forging critical partnerships, overseeing the development of new technologies and creating the infrastructure to ensure Serve is adopted by key developer partners and consumers globally. Prior to American Express, Jason was the global head of digital marketing for Ovi, Nokia's Internet services brand. Jason was also director of The Consumer Lab, the marketing and strategic planning arm of Omnicom's Alcone Marketing Group, leading consumer marketing strategy for large fortune 500 companies including, Virgin Mobile, Heineken, and Hasbro.

Kai D. Wright, VP, Digital, Porter Novelli Currently as a Vice President at Porter Novelli, a global PR company, Kai manages social engagement with consumers and businesses for HP. He oversees development of engagement programs, setting best practices, and evaluating efforts. Between full-time positions at Organic and Ogilvy in strategy & planning, as well as a short stint as a freelance consultant, Kai has worked on some of the world's largest brands including Bacardi, L'Oreal, Bank of America, P&G, IBM, and Johnson & Johnson. In 2010, he was awarded a Gold Ogilvy award as well as a Grand Ogilvy award for strategy & research innovation - both from the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF).

As a special treat, the panel discussion will be preceded by a special tour of Ogilvy's exciting new Digital Innovation Lab with a member of the Ogilvy staff, plus networking and refreshments.
